Fluorite
WE 2-7, 2003, August
Location:
Summit Cleft, Weisseck, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
Description:
A very transparent fluorite from this find. The piece was strongly exposed to the effects of water. As a result, the water etching is particularly intensive and the fluorite shows deep etching gaps. Due to the intensive etching, the square structure on the surfaces is difficult to recognize. The largest fluorite crystal measures 8 cm in diameter. Occasionally small crystals of a second generation have grown.
Size: 19.8 x 16.2 x 6.8 cm
