Fluorite
WE 9–24, 2012
Location:
Ice Cleft, Weisseck, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
Description:
Another rarity: light blue, highly-lustrous transparent fluorite with intense violet zoning. It is precisely the violet zoning that gives this fluorite its special character! A single calcite is an additional enrichment. As a rarity from the Ice Cleft, small white rock crystals up to about 2 millimeters have grown freely between the fluorites. This specimen comes from about 7 meters deep from the entrance, in the lower area. It was found in September 2012.
Size: 9.7 x 6 x 4.7 cm
