Fluorite
WE 24-12, July, 2022
Location:
Knappenloch, Weisseck, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
Description:
On the day after I had been digging intensely with Michael, I managed very early the next morning to salvage this wonderful piece. The fluorite is undamaged and shows excellent transparency with an edge length of up to 5 cm. Having a slightly concave shape, the crystal surfaces show a fine parqueted structure with a silky shine due to water etching. This piece is published in The Mineralogical Record - Mineral Magazine Vol.54 No.6.2.
Size: 15 x 10 x 5.8 cm
